Tie-Dye Karen

Karen Skoglund is the Tie-Dye Lady of Northern New Jersey who brings her bold sense of color into the craft of folding and dyeing fabric. Her experience and party events comprise nearly two decades. Karen finds inspiration in the natural world, through her mentors, and in the varied expressions of other artists. She brings this experience and passion for tie-dye to thousands of people of all ages, from toddlers, to the handicapped, to a 90-year-old's surprise birthday party. Karen teaches the art of folding and dyeing in a few easy steps. She also creates custom made scarves and unique, wearable art clothing available for sale at farmer's markets and craft shows. Check her Facebook page for current events!

In addition to hosting tie-dye parties, Karen is well known for teaching recreational programs. At a recent Girl Scout session the children were inspired to create their own tie-dye badge about their experiences after working with Karen. At the tie-dye parties, customers can select from a variety of packages. Karen creates her own tie-dyed environment at her parties, showcasing her previous pieces and masterpieces, to inspire each person in creating their own unique tie-dyed shirts.
